Jason Melick is one of the few singer/songwriters today who still carries the torch for classic rock and roll. Bred on a steady diet of mid-west rock and roll with his roots firmly planted in a bed of folk rock and blues, Jason draws inspiration from several genres to write and perform a guitar-driven mix of classic and modern rock music.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Jason has always had a deeply rooted love for the arts, especially music. In school, he was active in drama/theater productions and sang in the choir. He bought and learned to play his first guitar when he was 15 and started writing his first songs as a freshman in high school. However, aside from school talent shows, Jason didn’t really start to become active as a performer until after he graduated high school and spent a year studying music at Capital University in Ohio. While attending Capital, he started playing local acoustic open stages and performing small gigs at area coffee houses.

In 1995, Jason joined the band Propaganda Nation who, after acquiring its new front man, soon became Innuendo. The group allowed Jason to begin stretching himself as a vocalist and a writer by performing a heavier style of rock and roll, drawing heavily from bands like Led Zepplin, Queen, Extreme, Van-Halen and the Black Crowes.

By 1998, Jason began to focus his energy on solo projects including his first solo album, "Without You Here". In addition to recording and releasing his own solo CD, Jason also began recording and producing other bands and musicians from central Ohio.

In late 1999, Innuendo regrouped and changed its name to Toggle. The new band released their self-titled debut album in the Fall of 2000.

In 2003, Toggle went on hiatus. While some band members decided to pursue other interests, others were busy starting families. Around this time Jason briefly joined forces with another Columbus band called Season's End.

In 2005, Jason started branching out into composing instrumental scores for movies. Jason began working closely with the production team Tempered Zealot on a handful of independent films. 2005 also saw the release of Jason's second solo album, "The Day After...".

In 2006 Jason continued working on film scores and also began performing with a new cover band called Wrong Sauce.

In 2007 Jason will continue performing live regularly with Wrong Sauce and also plans to begin working with a new band called The Lovetown Mavericks. Jason plans to begin recording a new album with the Lovetown Mavericks over the summer and will also plans to release a CD compiling his recent soundtrack work. In addition to his own projects, Jason will be producing a CD for his longtime friend and collaborator, Scott Knies.
